The Lafayette Arts and Crafts Center has been serving the Tallahassee area for over 50 years offering classes and programs for both youth and adult. Every quarter, the center offers classes such as Pottery, Stained Glass, Crochet and Drawing. The center also offers a summer art camp and various workshops and holiday classes..
The center features several classrooms, a pottery lab and three kilns. Located adjacent to the Sue McCollum Community Center, the Lafayette Arts and Crafts Center is a great place to show your creativity!!

- Winter Session is from January 11 - March 7, 2026; Registration begins on December 8, 2025 at 12pm
- Spring Session is from March 22 - May 16, 2026; Registration begins May 16, 2026 at 12pm
- Summer Session is from May 31 - July 25, 2026; Registration begins April 27, 2026 at 12pm
- Fall Session is from August16 - October 10, 2026; Registration begins July 13, 2026 at 12pm
- Holiday Session is from October 25 - December 12, 2026; Registration begins September 21, 2026 at 12pm
Open Studio Hours for Pottery
Participants must present studio pass for every 2.5 hour session taken
- Sundays 9:00am - 2:00pm (2 sessions)
- Thursday 12:00pm - 5:00pm; 6:00pm - 8:30pm (3 sessions)
- Friday 9:30am - 12:00pm; 1:00pm - 3:30pm (2 sessions)
- Saturday 2:00pm - 7:00pm (2 sessions)
Lafayette Arts & Crafts Summer Camp
Lafayette Arts & Crafts Summer Camp will be held at Tallahassee's wonderfully shady Optimist Park located at 1806 East Indianhead Drive. Campers will enjoy their days filled with arts and crafts projects following a specific theme for their session. Each session, they will work with a variety of materials including polymer clay, textiles, paints, natural dyes and more. Along with plenty of outdoor playground time, campers will explore weaving, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture , ephemeral nature art, as well as some of food related lessons!
Camp will run during June and July in four 2-week long sessions and one 1-week session. Campers must be ages 6-12 by August 2026and have completed Kindergarten.
Camp cost is $238 for a 2-week long session. 1-week long session is $119.
2026 Summer Camp Session Dates:
Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm
- Session 1: June 1 - June 12
- Session 2: June 15 - June 26
- Session 3: June 29 - July 10
- Session 4: July 13 - July 24
- Session 5: July 27 - July 31
We are currently taking applications for Camp Counselors with art experience, as well as teen volunteer positions known as Counselors in Training (CITs) ages 13-15.
Online registration will start on April 6, 2026 at 12:00pm. Space is limited.
