Growth FAQ - Planning & Zoning
Can I store a recreational vehicle on my property?
The Zoning Code does not prohibit parking a recreational vehicle at a residential home. The only possible exception to that statement is if your home is in a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) or Planned Unit Development (PUD), which are special forms of zoning. The project developer of a DRI or PUD might include a prohibition on recreation vehicles in the project's standards. It is also possible that the Codes, Covenants, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) for a given project may address whether recreational vehicles can be parked at a residence. Keep in mind that CC&Rs are not enforced by the City. They are a private agreement between the homeowner and the homeowner's association.
