Growth FAQ - Code Enforcement
How can I report a Code violation to Environmental Services?
Before you report a code violation, please keep in mind that code enforcement can involve a wide array of issues which are handled by two separate departments. The Growth Management Department handles building without permits, environmental (i.e. flooding, tree removal, and stormwater violations), digital signs, and setback violations. The Housing and Community Resilience Department handles inoperable vehicles, offensive growth, building address numbers, swimming pools, open storage, home maintenance, fences with prohibited materials, trash/debris and signs in the right-of-way
The best method is to use the City's DigiTally app on your smartphone or the website. Within DigiTally, go to "Code Enforcement", and then the "Other Code Enforcement" option at the very bottom. Follow the prompts, and your case will automatically be reported to the appropriate staff. Of course, you're also welcome to call us at 850-891-7001, option 4.
