What information must be included in a Natural Features Inventory application?
According to Sec. 5-54(c), TLDC, a Natural Features Inventory application must include the necessary narrative and graphic information to identify and locate any conservation or preservation areas that may be present within the project boundary or within 150 feet of the project boundary, including the following:
- Show the actual extent (jurisdictional boundary) of conservation or preservation areas on a project boundary.
- Provide narratives which describe the conservation and preservation areas, wildlife and general environmental characteristics of the project boundary.
- Include a natural features inventory map which provides a topographic survey that depicts the boundaries of all conservation and preservation areas found within the project boundary, and within 150 feet of the project boundary.
- Provide a location map of the property with property boundaries.
- Provide an original full sheet aerial or other comparable aerial photograph (such as GIS or DOT).
- Depict the 25-year and 100-year floodplain.
- Identify elevations for projects that have all or a portion of the property located within the 25- or 100-year floodplain
- Identify whether the site is located within a closed basin.
- Depict on the natural features inventory map the 100-year storm event flood elevation within the closed basin assuming full build-out of all on-site and off-site property within the closed basin.
- Provide maps with contour intervals no greater than two feet to show significant and severe slope areas.
- Indicate soil types on the natural features inventory map.
- Identify the location of any wells (water supply or monitoring) or areas where the aquifer is susceptible to contamination or known to be contaminated, located on or adjacent to the site.
- Obtain a cultural resource assessment and depict the location of potentially significant or significant sites on the natural features inventory map.
