Current Projects
This page lets you access detailed plans for projects that are currently being reviewed by the Growth Management Department. On any given day, Growth Management staff is reviewing a variety of projects at different stages of the development review process. Very broadly speaking, Growth Management's role in the development process includes three steps. First, we review site plans, subdivisions, and various other approvals related to the land use. Second, we issue environmental permits that address issues like the protection of natural resources, grading, and stormwater. Third, our staff issues building permits and certificates of occupancy that allow for the construction of new buildings. We're here to help. You can reach us at 850-891-7001 or at zoning@talgov.com. Continue reading below for a discussion of tools on our website that will allow you to stay informed about proposed new developments.
Our interactive map shows all projects currently in the review process. Use the map to stay informed about applications of interest in your neighborhood and city-wide. It provides one stop shopping for everything you might want to know about a new development application. Note the colored dots in different locations across the City. They correspond to individual applications for new development. The color of the dots corresponds to the sign color on our public notice signs (e.g. red is a site plan, blue is a subdivision, and so forth). If you click any dot, a pop up box appears that provides project details. At the bottom left of the pop up box, you'll see the words, "View Plan Drawings". Selecting those words opens a PDF file showing the project proposal.
